on gemini pt.1, i actually used a guitar played with a violin bow coming out of a gemini amp. i recorded it on a tascam dp008, the digital 8 track ( which i highly recommend ) and did two takes without hearing the previous one and tried to do the same thing twice. twins. it came out pretty neat and they are definitely doing their own thing, but they play off each other in neat ways and do eventually come together during the staccato section. that's pretty much it and then i dumped it into ableton and made a WAV. no vst or anything.
the other song, indian paintbrush, was recorded to a cassette tape recorder and slowed down with the pitch wheel. that was a little phatty out of the gemini amp played into a delay pedal, in ( and out ) of time with the repeats. i replayed the tape out of the amp slowed down, and recorded a dry ( from the tape ) signal and one from the amp simultaneously. i then panned them and that's it.
